Create an Alternative Jersey
In Sports Business 456, Sports and Brand Management— we were tasked with designing an alternative jersey for a professional sports team, combining creativity with strategic branding. I chose the Boston Red Sox and developed a jersey that seamlessly blends the city’s rich history with iconic elements of Fenway Park. My design incorporates meaningful symbols, colors, and details that pay homage to Boston’s legacy while maintaining a fresh and modern aesthetic that resonates with both longtime fans and new audiences. This project allowed me to apply my knowledge of sports marketing, fan engagement, and brand identity, demonstrating my ability to create merchandise that strengthens a team’s connection with its community.

Kansas City Chiefs PR campaign
In JCOMM 477, we were tasked with developing a comprehensive PR campaign for a sports franchise or organization. Collaborating with my teammates, we chose the Kansas City Chiefs, a team that was highly discussed during the fall semester. Given the heightened media attention surrounding the organization, our campaign aimed to shift the narrative by redirecting negative press into a more positive and strategic focus. We crafted messaging that highlighted player development, team achievements, and community involvement to reinforce the franchise’s values and long-term vision. This project allowed me to apply my skills in crisis communication, media relations, and strategic brand positioning while working in a team-oriented environment to create a campaign that resonated with key stakeholders and fans.

Ascend Magazine PR Plan
As part of a term-long project in JCOMM 417—Public Relations Planning—I collaborated with a team to develop a comprehensive PR plan for a new, student-run sports magazine launching at the University of Oregon in Spring 2025. This magazine aims to provide a fresh perspective on sports culture, covering everything from Ducks football to underrepresented areas like ballet and club sports. Working closely with the editorial team behind the magazine, we helped shape their brand identity and communication goals. Our strategy focused on building anticipation, establishing credibility, and fostering a loyal community ahead of the official launch. We conducted research into student media consumption habits, developed key messaging tailored to diverse campus audiences, and outlined a multi-platform rollout that included social media engagement, event promotions, and collaboration with other student organizations.

Seattle Storm: Sports Brand Marketing Presentation
For the final project in Sports and Brand Management, our team conducted an in-depth brand analysis of the Seattle Storm, a prominent WNBA franchise. We selected the Storm in light of the growing momentum and public interest surrounding women’s sports and athletes in recent seasons—a cultural shift that’s redefining the landscape of professional athletics and branding. Our comprehensive overview examined the team’s brand identity from multiple angles. We explored the Storm’s history and evolution as a franchise, their national and international market reach, and the visual elements that define their brand—including jersey design and logo development. In addition, we evaluated their digital presence, focusing on social media strategy, audience engagement, and storytelling techniques that highlight both athletic performance and social advocacy.

Women Sport’s and Rise of Female Athletes Infographic
As part of my coursework in Writing for Digital Audiences, I created a data-driven infographic designed to complement the content and themes explored on my personal blog, which focuses on the rapid growth and increasing visibility of women’s sports and female athletes.
(Blog ). The goal of the infographic was to translate key insights from my blog into a visually compelling and easily shareable format. I curated and analyzed relevant data, including viewership statistics, social media engagement, sponsorship growth, and cultural milestones that reflect the upward trajectory of women in sports. The final design highlights the significant strides made by female athletes and organizations, as well as the growing fanbase and media attention surrounding women’s leagues such as the WNBA, NWSL, and NCAA women’s programs. This project sharpened my ability to distill complex information into clear visual storytelling, while reinforcing the importance of cohesive messaging across multiple digital platforms. It also gave me valuable experience using design tools (e.g., Canva) to create content that resonates with and informs digital audiences.
